Faith, Fun, and Conkers: Our Lunchtime Eco Club Creations

Our pupils have been busy crafting with autumn conkers as part of the weekly Lunchtime Eco Club, which is proudly run by St Barnabas Church in Clapham. The children collected natural treasures from around the school grounds and transformed them into wonderful works of art. This popular club gives our students a fantastic space to explore their creativity, learn about the environment, and connect deeply with our local church community.

Here is what our talented pupils created for this week's news gallery:

  • Noughts and Crosses: The children crafted their own rustic versions of the classic game by painting symbols on the conkers to use as natural game pieces.
  • Bible Verse Painting: Pupils carefully painted meaningful bible verses onto the smooth surfaces of the conkers, creating lovely keepsakes of faith.
  • Autumn Wreaths: Using their collected treasures, the children designed and built stunning seasonal wreaths to celebrate the changing colours of nature.
  • Creative Decorations: Imagination ran wild as the children decorated individual conkers with bright paint and intricate patterns.

We are incredibly grateful to the team from St Barnabas Church for running such an inspiring lunchtime club for our children. You can find out more about their community work and services by visiting the St Barnabas Church Website. https://www.stbcc.co.uk/
