Late/Absence Procedures

Please note that children should not be taken out of school at any time during term time.  If there is an exceptional reason why you need to do so, please complete the term time leave request form and return to the school office.  In exceptional circumstances the request may be authorised.

We expect that any medical or dental appointments are arranged for out of school hours.  If, for some reason, it is necessary for an appointment during the school day, please ensure that you have provided evidence of this.

Macaulay is rightly proud of its high attendance figures, consistently having one of the highest attendance percentages in the borough.  Our whole school attendance percentage for the academic year 2019-2020 was 97.3% (national average - 96%).
