Just like MPs and members of the House of Lords use debates to discuss topics and challenge the work of the Government, Year 4 put their debating skills to work this week. Year 4 worked in teams to answer some tough questions: "Do uniforms lead to better behaved pupils?", "Is it wrong to keep any animal as a pet?" and "Should bullies be excluded from schools?".
They all did an amazing job and we look forward to our next debate.
We had a fantastic time at Morden Park Hall today. Students worked in groups to measure the physical features of the River Wandle from two different sites. After a big lunch, students set off to catch different invertebrates from the river. A big thank you to Snuff Mill for having us today and leading an excellent session.
This half-term we have been learning all about Electricity. Students have good knowledge of the essential components of a circuit. Yesterday, they were put to the test by creating different circuits to see if they were complete or incomplete.
Come back next week to see us testing different conductors and insulators.
