Sound Experiment

Today, we tested different materials to find out which was the best material for sound-proofing. 

Art Week 

We are recreating the famous print 'The Great Wave'  by artist Hokusai. Come see our final pieces in the summer term art exhibition. 

Southwark Cathedral 24/01/23

On Tuesday, we had a lovely trip to Southwark Cathedral. Children exploded different Christian symbols around the cathedral and after lunch took part in a candle making workshop.

Oceans and Seas 03/11/22

Today, we started our new geography topic. Students used atlases to locate the oceans of the world, major seas and the seven continents. 

Class Talks-Black History Month October 2022

This year, we are working hard to develop students' confidence when public speaking. Year 4 were set the task of creating and presenting a PowerPoint Presentation about a trailblazer of their choice. I was absolutely blown away by the effort and standard of all of the presentations. Well done Year 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐  

Morden Hall Park 20/10/22

We had a fantastic time at Morden Park Hall today. Students worked in groups to measure the physical features of the River Wandle from two different sites. After a big lunch, students set off to catch and identify different invertebrates from the river. A big thank you to Snuff Mill for having us today and leading an excellent session. We had a great time.

Black History Month Workshop- 11/10/22

 

Thank you to Big Foot Education for today's workshop. The workshop was all about celebrating the wealth of talent that exists within Britain due to the many black people who have contributed, and continue to contribute, to our society. From sportspeople to scientists, activists to musicians, politicians to writers, we’re excited to introduce students to a whole bunch of incredible Black British people. We had an amazing time learning about how these inspiring individuals have helped shape the world in which we live.

Sports Day 2022 03/10/22

What a great day! Year 4 tried their best at a range of activities today, including throwing, jumping, balancing and running. They worked as a part of a team  and did a fantastic job cheering everyone on. 

Monday 26/09/22

This half-term we have been learning all about Electricity. Students have good knowledge of the essential components of a circuit. Today, they were put to the test by creating different circuits to see if they were complete or incomplete.
