Acts of Service
For our Act of Service, Year 5 decided to draw and write some positive messages to put through people's letter boxes. We wanted to bring some happiness to our local community and hopefully put a smile on people's faces when they received them.
We really enjoyed posting the cards and knowing it might make people smile!
World Book Day!
Slimy Science!
In our Topic about Changes in Materials, we investigated Ooblek! Ooblek is a non-Newtonian fluid that occurs when you mix corn flour and water.
Is it a solid or a liquid?
We also tested sugar and salt solutions - can you guess which one this child tasted?
Parliament!
To end our 'Power to the People' topic, we visited the Houses of Parliament.
We had a private tour, did a workshop on how to create a law (and did some debating) and we saw live debates in both the House of Lords and House of Commons!
